The Northwest Area Foundation supports changemakers who advance long-overdue change in deep connection with the land they inhabit and the communities they serve—Native Americans, people of color, immigrants, refugees, and people in rural areas.
We fund work through our grantmaking that leads to racial, social, and economic justice.
We want to be informed about and build relationships with organizations that align with our funding priorities. These organizations have a track record of success or demonstrate promising approaches. We will invite them to submit a funding proposal due to the relationship we have built over time. See our grant listings to learn more about the organizations we support.
The grantmaking cycle is about six months long—from the time the Foundation sends out a letter of invitation to the time a grant payment is made.
