Work to Reduce Poverty Amid 2008 Presidential Election
Kevin F. Walker, new president and CEO, joined the Foundation May 19. He will lead NWAF's transition to a new core strategy: making grants to proven or promising organizations doing effective poverty reduction work in their communities or the region.
"I'm looking forward to helping the foundation chart its future course and achieve even greater impact," said Walker.
Most recently the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation's associate vice president of programs, he led its national Pathways Out of Poverty Program since 1999.
