Struggling to Make Ends Meet - 2008
Read about the findings of our third national poll - how 4,000 people see neighbors struggling to make ends meet, worry their paychecks won't pay the bills in 2008, what they think of their local economies, and how this will affect their vote in November. They also told us how they want to help, what local officials should do, and how much $$$ a family of four needs to make ends meet.

Work to Reduce Poverty Amid 2008 Presidential Election
Kevin F. Walker, new president and CEO, joins the Foundation May 19. He will lead NWAF's transition to a new core strategy: making grants to proven or promising organizations doing effective poverty reduction work in their communities or the region.
"I'm looking forward to helping the foundation chart its future course and achieve even greater impact," said Walker.
Most recently the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation's associate vice president of programs, he led its national Pathways Out of Poverty Program since 1999.
